AGCO Corporation is a premier agricultural machinery manufacturer with a global footprint, boasting over 30,000 employees spread across the United States, Hungary, and India. However, despite their industry leadership, AGCO faced significant challenges in succession planning and people analytics, primarily due to manual processes and inefficient data management.  

Customer Challenge:

AGCO’s manual methods for succession planning and people analytics were fraught with inefficiencies and errors. Key challenges included: 

  • Manual Creation of Presentations: HR professionals had to manually create PowerPoint presentations for over 12,000 employees, a time-consuming and impractical task. 
  • Non-Default Reporting Tools: The lack of integrated reporting tools in SuccessFactors led AGCO to use costly external tools, complicating the process. 
  • Data Scattering: Essential employee data was dispersed across various SAP SuccessFactors modules, making data gathering and presentation creation cumbersome and error prone. 
  • Limited Reporting Capabilities: AGCO relied on ad hoc and Canvas reporting tools, followed by manual data processing in Excel, which lacked advanced features for creating visually appealing charts. 
  • Customization Challenges: Standard reports could not be easily adapted to specific needs, forcing HR professionals to export multiple reports and manually combine data for the desired output. 
  • Time-Consuming Processes: Manually creating PowerPoint slides involved numerous steps, such as exporting data, validating numbers, and creating charts, making the process inefficient.

  • Real-Time Access: Enabled seamless data retrieval in PPT and PDF formats directly from SuccessFactors Employee Central, eliminating manual steps. 
  • Dynamic Visuals: Integrated a 9-box matrix grid and dynamic images to generate real-time, Pixel Perfect Talent Cards (PPTC) instantly, significantly reducing preparation time from 10-15 days to minutes. 
People Analytics

We created story reports tailored to AGCO’s specifications, incorporating unique calculations and providing real-time access to data. Key features included: 

  • Completion Report: Tracked and followed up with employees who had not maintained important profile data or completed required activities. 
  • Succession Dashboard: Identified process gaps and high performers for effective succession planning. 
  • Talent Review Dashboard: Highlighted top performers for recognition and reward. 
  • Performance Dashboard: Analyzed employee performance data to pinpoint high performers and areas needing development. 
  • Automated Visuals: Generated charts, graphs, and other visuals with real-time data, allowing faster and more accurate analysis. 
  • Role-Based Permissions: Ensured data visibility based on user roles, enhancing security and minimizing unauthorized data exposure risks.
